Bug Hunter

…is a strategy game (included on UFO 50) that I've become quite enamored with. Although there are more ludologically literate comparisons, I like to think of it as Bomberman: The Solitaire Card Game. I've been enjoying participating in the discussion around it (mostly on the UFO 50 Discord). And, in anticipation of yet another social media platform going kaput, have decided to collect some of my contributions to that dialog here.

Daily Puzzles

One of the most beautiful aspects of this game is that, much like a newspaper's daily chess or tsumego puzzles, a single Bug Hunter screenshot contains (with very few exceptions) all of the information needed to play in one's head. As a result, a small, but lively handful of us have been doing just that: sharing puzzles, comparing solutions, and establishing some notational vocabulary as we do.

Nineteen daily puzzles extracted from a fifteen-Job streak played during the first half of March 2025.

If I finish drawing the full set, I'd like illustrate a Bug Hunter's Guide I've written, perhaps as a zine?
